Finance Manager

AdaptX is searching for a Finance Manager. This person will have proven success working in a customer focused industry.They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage a broad range of complex financial analyses and financial activities. This person will oversee spending and forecasting to ensure adherence to budget and to drive efficiency in business spend. They will manage budgeting, planning, forecasting, financial reporting,  and management reporting processes. This person will oversee payroll and AP/AR, and they will be active in creating and refining tools and processes to promote efficiencies across the organization. They will thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create financial frameworks, including completing complex financial analyses on a regular basis
  • Manage financial planning, such as multi-year projections, annual operating plans, and near-term forecasts
  • Build financial models to forecast revenues and expenses including actual performance analysis
  • Develop new systems, processes, controls, and policies to meet business needs
  • Provide insights on spending trends and cost-savings initiatives
  • Enhance financial and business reporting and drive insightful analysis
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting and financing activities of the company
  • Oversee expense management systems and processes
  • Manage payroll, AP/AR, and financial accounting systems
  • Prepare regular financial reports
  • Manage vendor and cost management
  • Work with internal and external resources to understand and manage tax implications of business decisions, including hiring in other states

Key Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex startup environment
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics, or equivalent degree or experience
  • 8+ years of finance or related experience
  • Proven success in supporting and influencing business decisions through data
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Expert in Excel
  • Familiar with accounting, payroll, and administrative software systems, with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Proficient in MS-based and Google-based office software platforms (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, etc.), with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to communicate (verbally, an din writing) in a clear and concise manner
  • Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve
  • Strong detail-orientation, with the curiosity and agility needed to support a fast-growing business
